Since November 1983, Napoleon’s Bakery has been helping make Hawaii sweeter. Our philosophy is to offer fresh, high quality Island favorites, made with only grade A ingredients and mostly from scratch. We continue adding new products to bring variety to our customers. All goods are made fresh at our Bakery production plant in Waipio, and deliveries are made every morning to each of our 24 retail locations, including one in Kahului and one in Hilo.
Our signature Napples have remained an Island favorite for so many, and are a “must” to take home—whether near or far. Made with layers upon layers of puffed pastry and butter, this flaky dessert melts in your mouth and is simply irresistible. From the original Apple Napple, by demand we expanded to Coconut, Chocolate, Cherry and Blueberry Cream Cheese!
Some like it traditional; some like it trendy—and we have a treat for all. Every month we feature special items that celebrate seasonal flavors like Strawberry, Blueberry, Lemon and Pumpkin. (And many wait the year for their favorite to return!) All-time regular favorites include our Dobash, Chantilly and Haupia Cakes, Custard pie, Donuts, Danishes, Ensemada and many more. There’s something to please everyone’s sweet taste at Napoleon’s Bakery!

The Beginning
Napoleon’s Bakery opens as a production facility on Nimitz Hwy (near Zippy’s Nimitz). The facility produced items that would be then baked fresh at select Zippy’s locations, like danishes, and French bread, which was its best selling item at that time. For the first Thanksgiving, Napoleon’s Bakery made no more than 75 each of Pumpkin and Custard pies for the few bakery counters at that time. Compare that to 2013, where Napoleon’s Bakery makes over 15,000 assorted pies during Thanksgiving week.

Production Facility
Napoleon’s Bakery moves its production facility to the Pearl City Industrial Park on Waihona Street, to address the growing demand for Napoleon’s Bakery’s Napples, and the growth of its assortment of cakes and pastries. By this time, Napoleon’s Bakery offered a full product line, and could produce custom decorated cakes for its locations.
